Quotex works on a phone in two ways: in the mobile browser, or through an app. The browser version works on almost any phone. App availability is less predictable: store listings for this kind of platform have been renamed, removed and re-uploaded over time, and availability differs by country and by device. That gap is filled by fake apps and unofficial APK files. This guide explains the safe options and how to get to the demo on mobile.
Browser vs app
| Mobile browser | App | |
|---|---|---|
| Works on | Android and iPhone | Depends on device and region |
| Install needed | No | Yes |
| Demo account | Yes | Yes, from the same account |
| Risk of fake copies | Look-alike websites | Fake apps and APK files |
The account is the same either way. Your demo and real balances, history and settings follow you between the browser, the app and a computer. If the app is not available to you, the browser is a full alternative, and most phones let you add the site to the home screen so it opens like an app.
How to get the app from a trusted source
- Open the official Quotex website in your phone's browser. Our guide to Quotex web addresses such as qxbroker.com explains how to check an address is genuine.
- Look for the mobile app link on the official site itself, and follow that link rather than searching the store.
- On Google Play or the App Store, check the developer name, the number of downloads and recent reviews. Store listings have appeared under different names over time, so the name alone is not proof.
- If no official app link appears for your device or country, use the browser version instead.
Availability on Android and iPhone changes, and this article cannot promise that a listing exists in your region today. When in doubt, the browser is the safe choice.
Logging in on mobile and switching to demo
- Open the app or the official site from a bookmark you saved yourself.
- Log in with the same email and password you use on a computer. There is no separate mobile account and no separate demo login.
- Find the balance display at the top of the screen and switch to the demo balance.
- Check which balance is active before every trade. On a small screen it is easy to miss.
If you do not have an account yet, follow the Quotex sign up guide. The full login walkthrough, including password resets, is in our Quotex login guide.
Common mobile problems
The site or app does not open
Quotex is blocked by internet providers in some countries. If it will not load on mobile data or home Wi-Fi, that is usually the reason, not your phone. Using the platform where it is not permitted can also put your account at risk, so check before you look for workarounds.
Login fails on the phone but works on a computer
Update the app or the browser, clear the browser cache, or try a private tab. Some content blockers and battery-saving modes stop pages from loading properly.
The app disappeared from the store
Listings for these platforms are sometimes removed. An installed copy may stop receiving updates. Switch to the browser rather than downloading a replacement from a random site.
Fake apps and APK warnings
Fake Quotex apps and modified APK files are one of the most common ways accounts and phones are compromised. Treat these as red flags:
- An APK file sent through Telegram, WhatsApp, YouTube comments or a signal group.
- An app that promises built-in signals, "hacked" payouts or guaranteed profit.
- An app that asks for permissions a trading app does not need, such as SMS, contacts or accessibility access.
- A store listing from an unrelated developer that uses the Quotex name or logo.
If you have entered your login details in a suspicious app, change your password from the official site straight away and remove the app.
Keeping the mobile account secure
- Use a unique password and turn on two-step verification if your account settings offer it.
- Lock your phone with a PIN or biometrics, because the app may stay logged in.
- Never share confirmation codes, even with someone who says they are support.
- Log out on shared or borrowed phones.
Trading on a phone makes it easy to place trades on impulse. The risk of loss is high, and Quotex is not regulated by a major financial authority. Practise on the Quotex demo account first, on whichever device you plan to use.
